Another week has flown by and before we knew it, it was time for another lesson with Michela. It is always a highlight of my week as it is an opportunity to practice my Italian conversation, but also learn more and these lessons are the motivation I need to continue to learn and improve my knowledge of the language. This week we continued with discussion about films and books as well as plans for the weekend before reviewing my homework from last week. This year has gone very quickly but I feel that with Michela's help my knowledge of the Italian language has risen rapidly. My knowledge of Italian culture has also increased as a result of the content of the workbook we are using and the homework Michela gives me every week. I don't think we will ever tire of something to talk about in our lessons, nor will I lose interest in learning about Italy and its culture. Grazie Michela come sempre. Non vedo l'ora per la prossima lezione. 

Thank you Michela for a great lesson as per usual. This week we discussed some of our usual topics of conversation, such as the weather, what we have watched on TV , books we have been reading etc. Michela also told me about her visit to an unusual work of art in Sicily, a large sculpture that sits in the location of an old town that was destroyed by an earthquake. Another place to add to my long list of interesting places to visit :) My homework from the last lesson was relating to the use of the passato remoto. The story used for this was the very interesting story of Alex Zanardi, an Italian racing driver who lost his legs in a crash in 2001. Not only did it teach the use of the grammatical subject, but it was also a very inspiring and interesting story. As usual I feel that my lessons with Michela are not only teaching me the language, but also about interesting and important topics from Italy. Grazie Michela come sempre! Alla prossima!
