Even if a Korean speaks the Korean language well, all of them are not good at teaching the language. The reason is that, speaking the language and teaching it is different. So, I think the teaching skill is very important for teachers.

Reading practices are getting longer and i do feel like I'm improving by every class. Eunhee is very encouraging, as always. We had a short discussion on korean food, which I enjoyed. Although I still can't carry long conversations in Korean, understanding what my teacher is saying is getting a bit easier.

We learnt the Korean numbers today. 선생님 also explained the contribution of King Sejong and the Joseon dynasty towards Korean society, which was interesting. As always, she was extremely patient and encouraging.

Really happy with todays first lesson. I am preparing for topik 2. I asked if we could focus on the writing section. Even though my korean is not great, 성생님 was really great in helping me understand and develop a strategic way of writing. I feel motivated and positive that I’ll be able to pass the test if I continue to study with 성생님.

Always greatful to have a teacher and friend like 은희 쌤. She was my first teacher here in Italki and until now, after almost 3 years, i always go back to her class and consider it a safe space for practicing my korean and catching up about each other’s lives. :)
