My name is Ekaterina, I’m 29 and I am a teacher of Russian. I am a very open, positive, funny and friendly person.
I live in Sochi (Russia) and in Munich (Germany). Before I also lived near the Baikal – the deepest and cleanest lake on the planet, located in Eastern Siberia.
I have a lot of hobbies, such as traveling, photographing beautiful places, reading classical literature, writing creative texts, listening to rock music, walking, etc. And I just love Russian!
Besides Russian, I speak English, German and Serbian, so if you have never studied Russian, we will definitely find a common language.Me as a Teacher
By education, I am a journalist and a linguist with a specialization in Russian as a foreign language. I have been studied with the most professional linguists and Russian language teachers in Russia (Higher School of Economics, Moscow). I have been teaching Russian for 7 years and have worked with a wide variety of ages (from 6 to 80 years old), nationalities and levels of language proficiency (from A0 to C2). I always do my best to be an interesting teacher who teaches with a sincere desire to help others! Your wishes are very important to me, so I always draw up an individual training plan and use a variety of resources in my lessons.My lessons & teaching style
The main goal of people who learn a foreign language is communication. Therefore, the most important task for me is to help you speak as quickly as possible. I can explain to you any material in an easy and interesting way. You will learn to express your thoughts, feelings, and be able to have a conversation on various topics. We will talk a lot, listen, read, write, discuss interesting topics, get acquainted with the culture, traditions and geography of Russia. I am genuinely interested in your success, so it is no coincidence that my classes normally last 5-10 minutes longer than the paid time. The lessons with Ekaterina are very interesting and fun. She takes the lessons seriously and gives the vibe of a teacher who is truly motivated to see her student advance and succeed (I feel like I am back in high school sometimes, in the most positive sense :)). I also appreciate that she can draw parallels to other languages that I speak and that her understanding of the Russian language is not only that of a native speaker but that of an intelligent woman that understands the language also on a deeper level.
