About Me
italki teacher since Jul 27, 2021
I have a doctorate diploma in linguistics from the University of Sorbonne Paris Сité (Paris) which I obtained in 2019. I work as a language scientist in the academic sector and as a language teacher. I propose the lessons of Norwegian, Russian, and French.
Originally from Ukraine, I lived studied, and worked in Norway and France. I like to travel around the world and learn the history and culture of different countries.
With more than 10 years of teaching experience at the university level and in private schools I collected a solid base of methods and textbooks for teaching Norwegian, French, and Russian.
Me as a Teacher
I mainly apply the communicative, audio-lingual, and direct methods which make lessons more interactive. All lessons are tailored to the learning preferences of a particular student to increase motivation and make the lesson more engaging.

It was a very good introduction to Norwegian with my desire to focus in conversation taken into account. Looking forward to book for more lessons. Tussen takk!

Anastasiia was sick, so she made a sacrifice for today's meeting. I appreciated that. She is very competent, and knows languages as a speaker of them as well as as a linguist/researcher. In my case, using examples from other languages is a good idea because I tend to "triangulate" and look for cognates or similar structures in languages I already know. This often helps me understand and remember the Ukrainian equivalents. However, I do not know Russian, so that may be of less help.
I support the idea of spending 3-5 lessons on each case, starting with locative as the easiest one.
Suggestion for Anastasiia: Please be more specific with me about homework for next time.

Anastasiia is an excellent teacher, today she held our lesson at a cafe in a small German town. It was like a virtual field trip!
